Single Curriculum (SNC) or Taliban invasion and its impact on Pakistan the last week have been quite a busy week. Let’s have a glimpse of the highlights of this week.

Encroachments are significant issues in our country, and Prime Minister Imran Khan has strictly ordered operations against them. People near Margalla hills were demanding operations for a long, and finally, CDA took the initiative.
The CDA authority, along with Deputy Commissioner and senior police officers, conducted operations against encroachments completed in three days. The main operation was conducted in the area of Talhar and Gokina suburbs. The Enforcement department used heavy machinery and drones to clear the area. CDA completes the anti-encroachment operation in Margalla hills successfully and now moving toward other areas
Taliban takeover of Afghanistan

Taliban invaded Afghanistan soon after American troop evacuation. It has caused a change in the political climate in Pakistan, India, and worldwide. For many countries, the instant change has caused chaos, while few seem to be contending with it. The power shift was quite dramatic; soon after, America started withdraws its army. Taliban started occupying different parts of the country. Ashraf Ghani fled outside the country, and the Taliban officially declared their government.
Soon after they took control, there was chaos in the worldwide community. People started evacuating the country, and according to the NATO official, around 18,000 people have been evacuated till now. According to the UN envoys, Pakistan has evacuated around 1100 people from Kabul; more flights have been sent to the country for people waiting to leave Afghanistan.
The future of world politics is in chaos; the Taliban occupied the country without any bloodshed, clearly stating that they want peace. They have announced that the country will be governed by Shariah laws, and democracy will not be the way anymore.
The government official has said that they want better and peaceful relations with neighboring countries. China has moved forward and seeking friendly relations with the new government of Afghanistan.
Pakistan, apparently, finds this change positive so far. The envoy of the Taliban arrived in Pakistan and ensured that they would not let anyone use the land of Afghanistan for any terrorist activity in Pakistan. Pakistan has welcomed their friendly gesture and hoping for better relations.
There are questions about the impact of the significant change on the economy of Pakistan. It is said that exports and imports between countries will rise, but there are also voices about increased smuggling among countries. There is a considerable debate on what the future holds? It is a significant change indeed, and we will soon see the results with time.

Prime Minister Pakistan has officially launched the first phase of a single National Curriculum on 16th August 2021. The efforts are being made to eliminate educational disparities. The first phase of a single national curriculum includes the same syllabus for classes 1 to 5.
The SNC has taken special care that there is no material in books that can offend minorities in Pakistan. It is, in fact, one of the outstanding achievements of the education sector that a separate curriculum has been prepared for the minorities in the country.
The Ministry has also refuted the rumors about the same syllabus and confirmed nothing contradictory to Islamic beliefs. At the launching ceremony, Prime Minister Pakistan has stated that he is aware of difficulties introducing a single syllabus. Still, efforts are being made that everyone is on board, and the process to change the unchangeable has been started.
Pakistan observed Ashura with solemnity and peace:
Pakistan observed Ashura with due solemnity in remembrance of the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA). The security forces were on high alert, and police were deployed on the route of the largest congregations in all countries.
For security and safety, roads were blocked, and mobile services were shut down in major cities to avoid any mishaps and terrorist attacks.
The mourners participate in processions throughout the country. Mourning processions are taken out in every city. Overall everything went smoothly except Bahawlangar, where a bomb attack on the Shia procession has caused a disturbance, and around 60 people suffered from injuries while three died.
On occasion, President said that martyrdom is a symbol of perseverance and determination and said that. "We have to prepare ourselves for all kinds of sacrifices by becoming a metaphor of determination and stability for our religion, nation, and country."
Prime Minister said that ’Ashura gives the message the truth will always prevail.’
